The HALO Creative department is a fast-growing group looking for an Art Director. This person will possess strong people and project management skills who is self-motivated and retains a strong skillset to inspire and drive a project’s direction. Our ideal candidate will exhibit the ability to bring innovative ideas in design and messaging to life while defining project structure, delegating creative tasks and leading a creative vision from start to finish. 

Responsibilities

  • Offer leadership and motivation and communicate the vision and values of our clients.
  • Guide the creative team by providing clear direction and constructive feedback.
  • Understanding and translating our clients’ objectives into solutions that deliver impactful results is key to success in this role.
  • Partner with our multiple sales teams to help them and our clients understand the creative and design process.
  • Must be able to implement across a wide range of clients.
  • Possess strong communication skills and be able to present work succinctly in internal reviews and in client meetings.

  • Theme/program development
  • Copy direction and copywriting
  • Product and packaging ideation 
  • File preparation and tech pack creation
  • Presentation building – strategy, communication, layout and innovation
  • Digital and website design (when required)

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in Marketing and/or Advertising.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Knowledge of both product development and marketing is required; production methods (print, screen print, embroider) a must.
  • Highly conceptual, strategic and creative project lead for internal design team and external freelancers.
  • Ability to multitask at a highly quick pace; extremely well organized and detail oriented.
  • Robust design and product illustration skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
