ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides technical instruction to customers.

Trains customers on technical information relating to Our Client's machinery, including plastics processing, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, safety, mechanical, machine controller, hardware, software, automation and quality.

• Ensures customers are trained thoroughly on the operation and maintenance of the various types of molding machines and automation products.
• Uses a variety of mediums to train, including visual aids, computer presentations, projector, overheads, charts, manuals, presentations and demonstrations.

Identifies training needs and prepares agenda and coursework for customers.

• Identifies machine/s and process types in order to deliver the most effective training.
• Secures the necessary electrical, hydraulic prints to support training needs. Studies such in order to be prepared to deliver training.
• Liaises with customer to discern specific training needs.

Travels to/from customer sites to deliver training.

• Though travel may be conducted at the facility, traveling to customer facilities or to training sites to provide training is required. Travel may be by air or by land.

Provides advanced customer support and technical assistance.

• Answers customer queries relating to machine systems and processing of materials, machine controls software and machine features.

Performs research and development.

• Liaise with other departments (e.g., engineering) to obtain specifics on customer’s machines and/or automation products.
• Develop customized approaches to training based on customer needs. Develop new training materials and methods as needed.

Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of trade school are required.

Any of the following are helpful/preferred:

• Associates in Industrial Maintenance Technology - concentration in Injection Molding Machines
• Degree in Mechatronics BS in Mechanical or Electrical or Polymer Science/Plastics Technology or Equivalent Experience

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years related experience is required.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Master Molder Degrees/Certifications preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient in presentation packages such as MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word as well as with Our Client's proprietary(?) software.
• Experience with tools such as gauges, multimeters, micrometers, vernier scales and general machining tools is desired.
• Experience with projectors, audio systems and computers is required.
• Excellent communication skills needed to work with other employees and departments on a weekly basis. External communications includes those with regulatory representatives and agency representatives (on a quarterly basis) as well as with customers and Board members on a weekly basis.
• Awareness of professional and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, CSO and ANSI) is a plus.
• Customer service focus is a must.
• Ability to be resourceful and to seek out training improvements, for example, if training materials need to be translated.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Travel:

• This job requires extensive travel, approximately 90% of the time, both domestic and international. Of total travel, International travel is expected to be about 20% of the time.
• Must be willing to travel as needed in assigned region.
• Must possess a valid passport.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $88,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
