Benefits at Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services:
  • 36.25-hour work week, full-time role. Hourly position, paid bi-weekly.
  • Flexible schedule and hybrid work from home options.
  • One week of paid vacation and 15 sick days immediately allocated upon hire. 3 Personal Days provided, prorated with employee start date. Starting vacation accrual of 3 weeks per year. Sick time accrued at 15 days per year with an unlimited accrual.
  • Starting salary range, determined by formula accounting for years of experience: $39,585.00 (base rate) to $49,480.00 (10 years of experience performing this same job or job with primarily the same duties.)

Medicaid & SSA Administrative SpecialistAs a Medicaid & SSA Administrative Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department. Your day will start with reviewing and returning emails and voicemails, ensuring timely communication with outside parties and colleagues. You’ll enter vital Medicaid data for individuals into our computer systems, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Engagement is key, as you'll attend in-person or Zoom meetings within the department or agency, collaborating with case managers about the individuals we serve. Your tech skills will shine as you update forms and the department's intranet page, keeping our resources current and accessible. You'll also dive into our internal computer system to retrieve information requested by external parties, demonstrating your ability to handle inquiries with precision. Scheduling meetings on behalf of the department director will be another essential task, requiring your organizational prowess.
Additionally, you'll be responsible for invoicing the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities for certain services provided to our individuals served, ensuring all financial aspects are managed accurately. Throughout the day, you may need to handle unexpected issues, answer questions from staff, and assist with any ad-hoc tasks that arise, showcasing your adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and three years of related experience or preferred Associate’s degree and one year of related experience.
