Position Summary
As a CVOR Tech in Medford, Oregon, you will be responsible for supporting cardiac surgeons during heart surgeries and similar procedures. Your duties will include preparing the cardiovascular operating room, assisting with preoperative care, and ensuring the smooth flow of procedures. This role requires a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Open Heart Scrub and familiarity with Open Heart Bypass procedures, along with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up instruments, sutures, and equipment
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
• Handle and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies during procedures
• Collaborate with nurses to provide individualized patient care

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved school of practical nursing, operating room technician program or military training program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• American Heart BLS Certification
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Open Heart Scrub

Other Duties
In addition to the primary responsibilities, you will also need to complete orientation as mandated by the facility, adhere to safety protocols, comply with HIPAA regulations, and respect the cultural practices of patients. Punctuality and reliability for assigned shifts are essential in this role.
