As a Physical Therapist in Tomahawk, WI, you will be responsible for providing treatments and exercises to aid patients in their recovery from illnesses and injuries. Your role will involve creating personalized treatment plans, prescribing medications, and teaching therapeutic exercises to enhance patients' well-being and mobility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations to assess physical condition, symptoms, and medical history
- Identify movement issues through patient observation and listening
- Develop customized treatment plans
- Instruct patients on therapeutic exercises and stretches
- Administer hands-on therapies like massage to alleviate pain and promote healing
- Maintain accurate patient records and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and families on at-home care options and recovery expectations
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate degree preferred
- One to two years of experience necessary
- Valid Physical Therapy licensure in Wisconsin required; temporary license acceptable with permanent license acquisition within one year
- Driver's license may be necessary for home care visits
- 13-week assignment with immediate start date
- 40-hour workweek, daytime shifts
- $2,491 weekly gross salary with $1,099 tax-free stipend
- Up to $600 travel reimbursement
- Benefits include 401k matching, health, vision, and dental insurance from day one, and travel allowance
