Exciting Opportunity: Product Manager for Our New Lighting Brand

We are on the lookout for a highly creative, data-driven, and results-oriented Product Manager to spearhead the launch and growth of our new lighting brand. This is an onsite position based in Salt Lake City, as our amazing and complex products require hands-on collaboration. Your presence will be crucial to succeed in this role.

As the voice of the customer and chief brand evangelist, you will collaborate with our talented design and development teams to establish the brand’s product roadmap and create innovative new product designs. Working closely with our marketing and sales teams, you will develop and execute go-to-market programs that drive traffic, engagement, and conversions across multiple distribution channels.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

Product Development & Management:

  • Establish the new brand’s product roadmap and lead the product development process with a customer-first approach.
  • Translate customer insights into new product concepts, inspiring cross-functional ideation and alignment on key features that meet the core value proposition and cost targets.
  • Define and deliver product requirements for design, prototyping, and specification, and oversee the product release process.

Key Tasks:

  • Identify customer needs and market requirements.
  • Conduct and evaluate consumer and competitive intelligence.
  • Establish financial goals, timelines, and key milestones.
  • Define product features and functions.
  • Develop pricing strategies.
  • Manage all stages of the product lifecycle.

Channel Management:

  • Drive alignment across consumer, business, design, and technical requirements to create breakthrough programs that delight our consumers and channel partners.
  • Manage the development and distribution of product information for internal and external audiences.
  • Facilitate market-facing messaging and collateral related to sales, promotions, field marketing, and channel support.

Key Tasks:

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop GTM programming, launch plans, and customer-facing communication strategies.
  • Develop product data and assets for marketing and sales use.
  • Create training programs, sales tools, and collateral for inside sales, field sales, and channel partners.
  • Work with manufacturing, operations, and logistics teams to define product ordering, shipping requirements, and release schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree or MBA preferred.
  • 3 years of progressive experience in Product Marketing or Product Management.
  • Decorative lighting or design industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices related to product lifecycle management and new product development.
  • Ability to assess market trends, competitive intelligence, financial data, and customer needs.
  • High competency in project management.
  • Proven experience in managing and motivating cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards solving challenging problems.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Polished presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and seamlessly juggle strategic visioning with hands-on execution.
