ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides clean linen for guest rooms
- Separates linen according to classification, fabric and color
- Counts all soiled linen and records the totals
- Operates washers and dryers pursuant to established procedures
- Loads and unloads washers and dryers
- Sorts stained linen for soaking and rewashing
- Folds, stacks, hangs and stores all laundered linen
- Separates, counts and discards damaged linen
- Records discarded linen in discard file
- Cleans dryer filters as scheduled
- Keeps supplies and storage area orderly at all times
- Cleans all equipment and work area daily
- Maintains par stock of laundry and cleaning supplies and informs manager of supplies needed
- Reports any hazardous conditions or malfunctions of equipment to Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisor
- Turns in lost and found items
- Complete all assign tasks on checklist and complete walkthrough with Manager to ensure all tasks were completed on said employee’s checklist before employee clocks out
- Performs other related and unrelated tasks as assigned by management
- Environmental Conditions
- 95% Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
- 5% Outside: No protection from weather conditions during property walks and inspections
- Essential Skills
- Knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures.
- Ability to maintain records and communicate effectively with other team members and management
- Educational/Vocational Preparation
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Ability to follow schedule and ability to perform physical labor
