Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a line cook and be responsible for prepping, cooking, frying, grilling and serving food.
  • Follow cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements.
  • Use specific kitchen machinery such as vegetable choppers, cutters to prep veggies for the day's serving needs.
  • Prep food and cut veggies for salads, sandwiched and grilling.
  • Chop Chicken, Lamb, Kofta and prep them to be grilled per cooking instructions and requirements.
  • Cook rice from time to time as per specifications and transfer them to warmers. 
  • Fill Sauce dispensers on a periodical basis and as and when required. Fill 1oz sauce containers as and when needed to replenish.
  • Refill and replenish veggies (lettuce, mixed salads, red onions, peppers, white onions etc) in backup containers to make sure they don’t run out of supply.
  • Label foods in the refrigerator with appropriate USE BY dates.
  • Record meat temperatures every few hours to make sure they are being stored in the hot station and served at the desired temperature.
  • Fill orders with 100% accuracy by reading the order printouts.
  • Help with attending to walk-in customers and fill orders. 
  • Keep customers' health and hygiene a top priority by wearing and gloved all the time while handling food.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to adhere to work schedules, train new employees, and resolve any interpersonal issues as needed.
  • Handle guests’ concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to restaurant policy.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy appearance by wearing a uniform and adhering to company dress code.
  • Help in receiving the food delivery and stock up with appropriate use by dates in freezer/refrigerator.
  • Keep the kitchen, equipments (grills, fryers, panini press, hot station, cold station), prep areas and floors clean and sanitized all the time. 

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be at least 16 years old and fluent in English
  • Flexibility to work late evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Attention to detail, precision and accuracy in filling orders
  • Familiarity and comfort with food handling, safety procedures, and other required restaurant guidelines
  • Ability to stand for long hours at a time and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction

Preferred:

  • Previous restaurant and cashier experience
  • Supervisory and leadership experience a plus
