Hand Microsurgery & Reconstructive Orthopaedics is an independent/private upper extremity group in Erie, PA. We work as a collaborative team and are soon growing again to a mix of 5 surgeons and 3 physician assistants.

We are currently looking for a Medical Assistant with outpatient medical/surgical office experience to work in our fast-paced clinic. Experience in Orthopaedics, Hand Surgery or another surgical specialty is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Strong computer skills are a must. We are looking for someone who has experience with casting/splinting or the willingness to learn. Previous rad tech experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Rooming patients in exam room
- Obtain and document patient history into our electronic EMR system
- Ability to assist our providers and prepare patients for a variety of in office procedures including but not limited to injections, splinting, casting, wound care, etc
- Process prescription requests and other patient phone messages in a timely manner
- Perform a variety of general administrative/clerical duties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
