Job Summary

Handrail Design, Inc., a Lancaster-based manufacturer of custom stainless steel handrail systems, has an immediate need for a full-time shipping/receiving materials handler.

Responsibilities and Duties

The position's typical duties include:

• receiving and unloading freight and materials, both manually or with forklifts or pallet jacks;
• inspecting incoming goods to verify quantity and quality;
• packing and loading outgoing shipments;
• making local truck deliveries and pick-ups in company vehicle;
• assisting in maintaining inventory control and records;
• participating in general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate must have:

• knowledge of basic math skills and experience with handling, storing, and shipping materials or supplies;
• operating material handling equipment;
• reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Familiarity with hand power tools a plus.
• Familiarity with computers and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to lift sixty pounds, be fluent in English, and provide work related references.
• Pre-employment background check including motor vehicle report required.
• Prospective employees must meet requirements of HDI's Driver MVR Policy.
• Pre-employment drug test required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
