Purpose:
As we are expanding our brand footprint into a new region, we will be building our 3rd restaurant concept that combines a fast-casual dining experience with a full bar and taproom. We are in need of an energetic Kitchen Manager who wishes to grow with our company, be a leader to a fresh staff, and be an ambassador of our quality products and brand to the local community. You will be required to maintain an atmosphere of unparalleled customer service, aid in the training and cultivation of staff, while also having previous experience in either front-of-house or back-of-house staff management.
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall operations for the back of house and kitchen area of the restaurant. You will hire staff, purchase food and stock, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. In addition, you will ensure that the company’s standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and it is cooked and served quickly. You will also make sure that the kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule, food is disposed of properly and the kitchen meets all sanitary standards.
Additionally, the Kitchen manager will also hit the books, by keeping tabs on food cost, waste and employee hours, doing your best to optimize profit for their company and create the best dining experience possible for customers. Directly report to general manager
