Hangar 24 Craft Brewery is looking for motivated, talented service industry professionals who are passionate about all things food, beverage, and hospitality.

TRAINING WILL BE PERFORMED AT OUR IRVINE LOCATION UNTIL RIVERSIDE OPENS

Purpose:

As we are expanding our brand footprint into a new region, we will be building our 3rd restaurant concept that combines a fast-casual dining experience with a full bar and taproom. We are in need of an energetic Kitchen Manager who wishes to grow with our company, be a leader to a fresh staff, and be an ambassador of our quality products and brand to the local community. You will be required to maintain an atmosphere of unparalleled customer service, aid in the training and cultivation of staff, while also having previous experience in either front-of-house or back-of-house staff management.

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the overall operations for the back of house and kitchen area of the restaurant. You will hire staff, purchase food and stock, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. In addition, you will ensure that the company’s standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and it is cooked and served quickly. You will also make sure that the kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule, food is disposed of properly and the kitchen meets all sanitary standards.

Additionally, the Kitchen manager will also hit the books, by keeping tabs on food cost, waste and employee hours, doing your best to optimize profit for their company and create the best dining experience possible for customers. Directly report to general manager

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • 2 Years Experience as a kitchen manager
  • Food Handler Certificate
  • Minimum 5 Years experience
  • Be a role model to the staff by exhibiting behavior consistent with Hangar 24’s Core Values
  • Create employee schedule as far in advance as possible with GM approval before posting
  • Engage customers with intentionality, building strong relationships that create return clientele.
  • Aid in the hiring, training, cultivation of service industry professionals.
  • Successfully communicating all issues and potential solutions to the management team.
  • Successfully communicating company changes/focus to the service, bar, and kitchen team.
  • Strong Familiarity with all functioning components of the restaurant and the ability to fill any role on any given shift should the need arise.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation within the restaurant.
  • Ensure the safety and security standards are emphasized and adhered to by all staff.
  • Interact with customers. Being friendly and courteous will help keep customers coming back.
  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail
  • A leaders in the back of house, rallying their team during heavy shifts, resolving conflicts and getting the job done.
  • Create work schedules, as well as maintain work schedules, shipments, cleaning schedules and more and stay organized are crucial to the job.
  • Problem-Solving Skills that allow you to deal with employee conflict, irate customers and wrong stock orders, and being able to come up with a solution quickly is a needed skill.
  • Able to accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking methods to staff, give orders and speak with customers clearly.
  • Must create recipes, for each menu item along with presentation and set up pictures
  • Menu launches must be planned with GM and Director of Ops
  • Training and testing must take place for menu launches
