Job Title: Facilities Engineer Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Job SummaryThe Facilities Engineer will provide support to the Maintenance team and the facility through involvement in all utilities related to plant operations. Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Other duties may be assigned as needed by management Environmental Safety Management
Maintaining prevention of emissions from the facility is below the standard
Support the EHS department as needed
Maintain and manage hazardous material history and associated documentation
Track PM history and maintain firefighting equipment and schedule repairs is needed
Schedule inspections in accordance with regulatory requirements and EHS policy
Utility Facility Management
Securing power capacity according to plant capacity
Establish and implement improvement plans as a result of increasing and decreasing the amount of electric power capacity
Set up and improve power saving measures
Track PM history and maintain boiler system for facility heating
Establish and implement improvement plans for heating and cooling facilities
Track PM history and maintain facility cooling systems (HVAC)
Establish and improve fuel saving measures
Track PM history and maintain sulfuric acid dilution (excluding operations)
Track PM history and maintain waste water treatment tanks
Track PM history and maintain facility air compressor
Track PM history and maintain water and water supply facilities
May be called into the facility in times of power outage environmental
Responsible for various inspections for facility systems on a regular basis according to state and federal requirements (fire alarm, boiler variant, dust collector, etc.)
Building Management
Establish and contract basic plans for the construction of structures or facility changes
Monitor facility structural changes and ensure compliance to laws and regulatory requirements
Establish and implement a (PM) Preventive Maintenance repair plan for the facility (bath, auditorium, lounge, toilet, parking lot, etc.)
Manage and develop corrective measures for leaks, rain water, and drainage in buildings
Other duties may be assigned as needed by management.
May be responsible for moving Hazardous Materials
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to think outside the box to make improvements
Speaking and listening effectively in order to carry out duties as assigned and lead areas of responsibility
Ability to read and understand technical information and prints
Utilize critical thinking, logic, and reasoning to determine the best and safest practical solution to problems
High degree of Emotional Intelligence
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and adhere to standards
Ability to act with integrity and professionalism and uphold the company's ethical standards.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree preferred, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related experience
3 years’ experience in Maintenance or Engineering roles
Experience working for a manufacturing facility preferred
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Physical DemandsPhysical demands may include but not limited to the following:
Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
May use scissor lifts or boom lifts on occasion
Must be able to navigate throughout inside and outside the facility
Must be able to effectively operate a computer
Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to wear all required PPE while in production area.
Must be able to pass a (PFT) Pulmonary Function Test for respirator wear
