Hanley Foundation, a West Palm Beach-based non-profit organization that aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support, is seeking a compassionate and organized part-time Medical Assistant. Hanley Foundation provides a comprehensive continuum of individualized alcohol and drug addiction treatment programs and recovery support for adults, including those with co-occurring disorders. The Position

The Medical Assistant works with the medical and nursing staff, providing clients with personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care. The medical assistant observes, receives, and obtains information from all relevant sources. The Medical Assistant is responsible for keeping up-to-date, technically applying new knowledge to the job, and providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and others by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Medical Assistants will be required to enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form.

Qualifications:

• Current medical assistant certification.
• Must maintain current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Willing to work Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Professional treatment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction and drug treatment preferred.
• If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is required.
