HANWHA ADVANCED MATERIALS AMERICA, LLC is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Georgetown, TX

We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our new manufacturing facility in the Georgetown, TX area. The ideal candidate will possess the skill to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex financial data, additionally, they need to be able to collaborate with the team to implement changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting and treasury functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, adhering to deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to maintain integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Implement and oversee KSOX internal controls operations, responding to auditor inquiries and ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Provide support for the accounting ERP system, facilitating financial to managerial closing processes and ensuring smooth operation of financial systems.
  • Collect and provide information for audit inquiries, and collaborate with auditors to facilitate audit processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Supervise and train staff accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks, including handling non-routine transactions.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by management, as job duties may change periodically to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on expenses, work with departments to meet operational requirements, evaluate effectiveness of controls, minimize expenses, and improve processes.
  • Prepares financial reports, annual budget, and various feasibility studies and other special projects to ensure senior management has the information required for effective decision-making.
  • Provide high-level analytics to and complete projects for senior management as needed.
  • Address accounting activities including general ledger preparation, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities, all under tight deadlines.
  • Assist with the protection of assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Demonstrate creativity, intelligence, and discretion in the management of department functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business.
  • 8 of related experience is required.
  • 5 years in a management role with increased levels of responsibility.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong technical skills in accounting software and financial management systems, such as QuickBooks.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are essential for financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical abilities to analyze financial data, identify trends and patterns, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Strong attention to detail in ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate financial information, analysis, and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Masters or CPA preferred.
  • Bilingual.
