Position Overview:
As the Aftermarket Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of aftermarket sales,
revenue generation, and service operations for air and gas compressors, including service &
packaging workshop management for light duty API 672 air compressors, fuel gas compressor valve skids, H2 & NG mixing skids and sCO2 systems. This role requires strong leadership skills,
technical expertise in centrifugal compressor and its auxiliaries, and a deep understanding of
aftermarket service and packaging workshop operations. You will lead a team focused on
maximizing revenue, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence and safety
within the aftermarket department.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of a newly created service and packaging workshop and build the necessary
organization to execute the required workflow.
• Perform on-site installation of equipment and systems and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation.
• Respond to requests for troubleshooting, emergency repairs and services to customer equipment, redirecting requests promptly when appropriate.
• Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation,
operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites.
• Develop repair procedures for key components like bearings, impellers, seals, pinion & bull gears and etc.
• Perform administrative functions such as: writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing
quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a
complete timely and thorough basis.
• Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
• Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within Hanwha safety standards.
• Ensuring individuals supporting field activities are qualified, providing training, and helping create
training programs as necessary.
• Supporting continuous improvement efforts focused on improving reliability and customer value.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering.
• 10 years of experience in leading workshop operations and managing field services in the rotating equipment field. Experience with integrally geared compressors is preferred.
• Relevant working experience in the North & South American regions.
• Preferably, ability to understand Air Separation and API business and project management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization (internal/external), including
communication with headquarters in Korea.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, highly-motivated, ability to work under pressure within a team environment, good communication skills, professional attitude, willingness to travel extensively.
