Happy Tails Dog Ranch is Hiring a Doggy Daycare / Kennel Attendant Near Berthoud, CO

About Us: At Happy Tails Dog Ranch, our team is passionate about dogs and dedicated to providing the highest level of care.

We employee up to 20 team members who value punctuality, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Our team of hardworking dog enthusiasts understand the importance of communication and customer relations.

We are situated on a beautiful 22 acre property with numerous, huge outdoor play yards, that connect our Main Overnight Boarding Facility and our Doggy Daycare Clubhouse Facility. Our team oversees 90 dogs per day.

We are currently interviewing to fill full time and part time position: Full Time ( 35-40 hours per week) Part Time (25 - 30 hours per week) Note: Flexibility in scheduling is crucial. This role includes working some weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage playgroups of 10-15 dogs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our canine guests.
  • Perform daily feeding, medication dispensation, and basic grooming tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and play areas.
  • Handle customer arrival and departure procedures professionally.
  • Engage in taking photos/videos for our doggy guests for client report cards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in a busy and ever changing setting.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and clear communications.
  • Must be able to perform physical movements like walking, running, jumping, squatting etc
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills are a must
  • Must be able to react quickly and calmly in a stressful situation.

What You Bring:

  • 1 year of dog daycare/boarding experience (preferred but not essential; we provide training).
  • Robust work ethic and impeccable punctuality. - We are not interested in excuses.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. -Yes, we dress for the weather.
  • A love for both dogs and humans. - We don't avoid or dislike people here
  • Certified dog training, Vet Tech, or Vet Assistant experience is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and consistent/reliable transportation.

Essential Skills:

  • Stand/walk for extended periods. - No missing out on your daily steps goals here.
  • Lift/Carry up to 45 pounds. - Dog food bags can be heavy
  • Operate in a high-energy team setting. - We do take breaks, but we also work hard
  • Anticipate tasks and execute without prompting. - Don't wait to be told. We like initiative
  • Deliver top-tier customer service. - We value our customers and their pets
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills - Communication is very important.
  • Have a solutions based attitude - Complaining without offering solutions is unproductive
  • Be able to walk, run, jump, squat, bend, reach and lift - Cuddling puppies is not all we do.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly rate for this position will range between $16 - $19 inclusive of tips.
  • Free dog daycare and boarding for up to two personal dogs after first 2 weeks of employment (if they are social and do well in a dog daycare setting)
