Job OverviewAs a Field Service Engineer, you will be an essential member of the Customer Deployments team. You will become a go-to subject matter expert in supporting Harbingers deployed fleet. You will partner closely with Engineering and external service partners to help ensure our fleets are well supported and have maximum uptime. Work onsite at customers and dealer locations solving vehicle issues and at headquarters on prototypes. Consult customers on charge infrastructure installations in their facilities.

What You’ll Do
- Customer fleet technical support remote
- Field support - customer fleets, special events, test support
- Consult customers about Installation of charge equipment in facility
- Engineering prototype build support
- Design for Service influencer
- Tools and shop management and organization, supplies inventory management
- Data collection
- Root cause analysis
- Equipment calibrations and records keeping
- Hands on testing
- Service procedure development and trials
- Training the trainers for service network and other internal technicians
- Expect as much as 40% travel at times
- 5 years’ work experience in a vehicle workshop and/or dealer shop
- Experience with building electrical a plus
- Strong understanding of building electrical systems
- Knowledge of electrical building codes a plus
- EV and HV experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Natural ability to interface with many different people from many different technical disciplines and operate with them seamlessly
- Ability to self-start, manage, and execute to completion given tasks with varying levels of advance information given in various written and verbal formats
- Valid driver’s license required
- Factory training programs through OEMs are a plus.
- Familiarity with vehicle Controller Area Network (CAN) communication
- Expertise with Vector CANoe/ CANalyzer a plus
- Strong ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions to complex problems
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and their interactions
- Ability to travel as required
