Director of Human Resources
Responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function of the Agency. Acts as advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, managerial staff and employees to ensure that current employment laws and good HR practices are being followed in all Human Resource functions.
Education and Training:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources Management or some related field of study. Courses in Human Resources/Personnel Management. Professional experience may be substituted for formal education at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer.
Experience:
3-5 years professional HR generalist experience with experience in human relations, hiring and terminating, benefits management, training (at a company with 50 employees).
Other Job Requirements:
Knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment laws; Knowledge of resources for employee benefits and current HR practices. The ability to organize and manage personnel activities.
Ability to create and implement and maintain new personnel procedures and prioritize tasks and utilize time and resources effectively. Work with culturally diverse groups of both genders as well as show caring and empathy toward survivors of domestic violence.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to make professional presentations. Knowledge of Windows applications; Strong word processing, desktop publishing, and
spreadsheet experience. Ability to provide leadership in a work and community setting.
Ability to identify program needs and implement programmatic changes.
Valid Florida Driver's License and cover-able by agency insurance.
Completion of CORE Competency training within 90 days of hire is required.
