Job Description: This position supports the company in the coordination its of third-party domestic and foreign shipment logistics, assist in tracking shipments, supporting DOT compliance, assist tracking the overall Transportation spend, and performs general office duties. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in dispatching third-party transportation moves, data input, follow-up, tracing actual shipment details, and maintaining timely and accurate documentation
• Assist in tracking and improving efficiencies in logistic operations
• Create Shipping Tickets and Documents for transport to include Create Shipping Tickets and Documents for transport to include Load Tenders and Bill of Ladings based on information provided in Operational Software and Excel Spreadsheets
• Learn our commodity grades; work well with internal team and Dispatch.
• Handle e-mail queries in a timely, professional, and prompt manner
• Ensure all documentation is handled/maintained in a timely and organized manner.
• Support load management/scheduling with inventory.
• Develop strong professional relationships with carriers and to ensure excellent service.

Desired Job Skills and Experience:

•  Minimum of a High School Diploma
• Ideally, three to five years of dispatch/logistics experience
• A logical, analytical, and inquisitive mind
• Strong communication skills; not afraid to pick-up the phone to resolve issues
• Strong Microsoft Office skills; heavy use of Excel
• Strong customer relation skills
• Able to multitask
• Works well in a small and open office environment
