Like a shape shifter, you can match any context or conversation. Just one of your words is worth a thousand pictures. You’re the ghost-writer for other ghost-writers. You are Copywriter Magnus Maximus Maximillian True Heart.

As a copywriter on our marketing team, you will contribute to creating the best brand in gaming. You’ll work with external agencies and in-house talent to bring the brand to life across both sports and culture. You will play a significant role in our growth strategy, helping us deliver relevant customer-facing messaging for all marketing channels (TV, paid social, organic content, CRM, landing pages), and help sharpen the copy and tone of voice for our physical retail sportsbook experiences. All done on time and on-budget.

Main Responsibilities:

• Express Hard Rock Sportsbook’s brand image, identity, voice, and unique position in the marketplace to our players
• Translate stakeholder objectives and creative briefs into compelling concepts, headlines, and copy
• Brainstorm fresh ideas as key member of creative team
• Write and edit content for assets including digital, print, and in-casino advertising, video, interactive experiences, and microsites, as well as email, events, taglines and product names.
• Contribute to messaging guidelines and tools to help marketers and communicators express brand messages consistently and powerfully
• Collaborate social media team to create seasonally relevant Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok content
• Refine creative briefs to help internal clients clearly articulate their goals

What are we looking for?

• 3-5 years experience, either at an agency or in-house for a brand
• Sports (or even sportsbook) experience is a major plus
• Strong copywriting portfolio (ads and concepts, not just content writing)
• You’ve written ads, scripts, landing pages, app store copy, emails, and more
• You’re able to write for a diverse set of audiences
• You use consumer insights and data to drive your creative decisions
• You love to collaborate — whether that’s with other creatives, the brand team, product, or beyond
• You live and breathe sports and you’re fluent in internet culture
