Restaurant AssistantManager

SUMMARY OF POSITION: As an Assistant Manager, you willachieve sales growth and maintain company standards of excellence for yourassigned shift by managing the flow of food service activity, assigning tasks,overseeing cash control, and focusing on providing the highest quality foodwith the best hospitality service possible. You will also play a key role intraining your Team Members under the direction of the General Manager,providing support to the General Manager, assist in running overall operations,while developing and retaining Team Members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Supervising TeamMembers and Shift Leaders and maintaining the highest standards in quality,service, and cleanliness with a constant focus on profitability.

· Coordinating stafftraining with team trainers.

· Maintain acooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and fellow Team Members.

· Handling HR issuesas they arise, including disciplinary write-ups.

· Conducting team meetingsas needed to discuss operations, procedures, and promotions.

· Conducting weeklyinventories.

· Controllingpayroll to meet company labor costs standards.

· Controllinginventory to meet company GAP standards.

· Supportingmanagement team and General Manager in their operation decisions.

· Maintainingreports and records based on company standards and in full compliance withstate and federal regulations.

· Maintain buildingand equipment via proper operating, cleaning, and preventative maintenanceprocedures.

· Assumingresponsibility for cash for all shifts, including bank deposits and ensuringthat all cash procedures are properly followed.

· Ensuring allsanitation, safety and security policies and procedures are observed andenforced.

· Ensure personalappearance always meets company standards and display professionalism.

· Recognize andadhere to all HR, sanitation, safety and security policies and procedures toprovide a safe and compliant environment for all.

· Performing othertasks as directed by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Stand for longperiods of time.

· Work around hightemperatures.

· Work around othersin close quarters.

· Able to lift 50-75pounds comfortably.

· Work with variouscleaning products.

EXPERIENCE:

· Possess a validdriver’s license.

· Must be a minimumof 18 years old.

· Must be willing towork flexible hours, including opening and closing shifts.

· Must have reliabletransportation and method of communication with restaurant (i.e. phone oremail).
