Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and food handling, with experience in the restaurant or grocery store industry. Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and assist them with their deli orders
- Prepare and package deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and hot foods
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli counter and dining area
- Upsell products and promote specials to customers
- Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing
- Assist in bussing tables and keeping the dining area tidy
- Apply retail math skills for pricing and inventory management

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a restaurant or grocery store setting
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling
- Knowledge of food service regulations and safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales
- Proficiency in using Aloha POS is a plus
- Understanding of basic retail math principles
