Harford Bank is currently recruiting for a Full Time Human Resources Assistant. This role will support the daily functions of the Human Resources department and be exposed to the full life cycle of a team member, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, HRIS, training and development, and compliance with employment laws while contributing to the smooth operation of the department. The Human Resources Assistant will update employee databases, screen resumes, schedule interviews, post job ads, and assist in preparing HR-related reports. Additionally, they will address employee queries, support benefits administration, participate in new hire orientation, as well as coordinate training and development activities and enrollment, and participate in organizing company events.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in related field preferred
- Prior related office experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
