What You'll Be Doing Job Scope: The Senior Process Technical/Production Engineer is responsible for supporting plant operations in meeting daily KPIs by providing troubleshooting, rapid problem solving, and process improvements. They also support expansions to existing or new product lines identified by the business and R&D groups. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Monitor production in terms of quality, yield throughout cycle times, process parameters, and safety and environmental regulations Complete work using the fundamentals of process simulation with simulation program(s) Design a range of unit operations including reaction, distillation, refrigeration, fired heaters, and heat exchangers Interact with the operating personnel and other departments to facilitate production, process trouble-shooting, and equipment maintenance Provide integrations of manufacturing input for safety, quality, reliability, and operability into design Perform process engineering calculations and comprehend PI&D drawings for the purposes of trouble-shooting and process modifications Become an expert on the process chemistry, operating philosophy, and the process design basis for the equipment Work within teams to identify and implement longer term process improvement efforts, with the overall goal being to achieve improved safety, higher yields, better production rates, and higher attainment Identify and implement improvements on basic control schemes and advanced process control strategies Ideal Background Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Computer, or other engineering programs from an accredited university is preferred. Experience: This position requires 5 years of relevant experience in process, production, and/or manufacturing engineering within the chemical, petroleum, and/or polymer industrial manufacturing environments.
