Harkcon is hiring professionals that are ready to join our existing team in providing privacy support to the Department of Homeland Security. Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTA); System of Records Notices (SORN); Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA); and Privacy Act (PA) statements to analyze new or proposed changes to existing technology, sharing agreements, and programs to identify privacy risks and provide possible mitigation strategies;

Perform assessments and analyses of projects and studies that require analysis of interrelated issues such as legal compliance, policy compliance, and regulatory compliance;

Gather all relevant information concerning systems collecting personally identifiable information by program offices to determine which compliance documentation is required;

Coordinate efforts of program offices, project managers, and staff to complete privacy-related assessments, analyses, and other related projects;

Participate in review meetings and analyze documents and other materials during the privacy compliance reviews;

Draft and edit documentation such as project plans, reports, analyses, and other types of documentation

Requirement

Masters Degree required;

Position requires minimum 10 years of experience

 Works independently and may oversee efforts of junior staff

PTA, PIA, SORN knowledge/experience required

CIPP, CIPP/G or other designation from the International Institute of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) preferred

Must be able to meet all security eligibility requirements set by DHS (Public Trust)

Benefits

Salary Range: $110,000-175,000 to commensurate with experience, education, etc.
