DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dimensional receiving inspection of all components
Ensure all components on vehicle are inspected and tightened per specifications
Test electrical and warning systems
Test drive vehicles for set hours before green tagging (accommodation due to health concerns) You will conduct other duties such as inspection of fire extinguishers, conduct ISO audits or other work as deemed by Quality Manager
Documentation and storage of inspection results and calibration results
Report and reacting to inspection results and calibration results
Data entry, storage, archiving and maintenance of gage recall program
Identification, storage and disposal of test pieces
Incoming component lot acceptance or rejection
Adherence to laboratory housekeeping and safety requirements
Supplying Assembly Department with approved components
Segregation and identification of rejected component lots
Special tests and duties including but not limited to:
Fit and Function Testing
Capability Studies
Gage R&R Studies
RequirementsOTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Requires solid critical thinking and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of office software, organizational abilities and strong attention to detail
A proven track record of success that includes administrative, management, facilities, creative problem-solving and business partner experience is desired
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Professional, outgoing, guest-service related oriented manner
Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals
Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and know definitions of critical, major, and minor characteristics
Strong knowledge of basic mathematics
Must know basic quality terms, definitions, and concepts
Must understand types of measurement, measurement terminology, and the types and differences of measurement scales
Must understand traceability (product, material, and collaboration)
Must be able to identify and report non-conforming material
Must be able to run CMM programs, interpret data, make machining directional changes, and make minor CMM program edits
Must be professional and proficient in metrology and skill sets listed
Working knowledge and experience using CMM, optical comparator, height gage, surface plates, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gage blocks, computerized gages, etc.
Sitting Squatting, Walking, bending 8-10 hours per day
Must be able to lift 15 lbs or more
Must be able to work in different weather conditions
Exposure to production environment
Remain calm and professional during stressful situations
Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff
Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines and benchmarks
Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision
Must work well under pressure
Must be able to manage multiple projects
Must be willing to ensure entire environment is not only setting standards but meeting standards
