Job DescriptionThe Financial Controller for the US will be a key member of the small US team, responsible for managing the entire accountancy function, including financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, management accounts, banking, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and expenses. This role demands a seasoned financial professional with specific expertise in the cruise and ferry industry, capable of ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of the division. This role will support the Director of US Outfitting with bids and the financial aspect of the day to day running of US projects. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: · Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. · Develop and maintain robust financial systems, policies, and procedures.Payroll Management: · Direct and oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments. · Stay informed about payroll-related regulations and implement necessary changes.Budgeting and Forecasting: · Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals. · Provide accurate and timely financial forecasts to support decision-making.Financial Analysis and Reporting: · Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements, reports, and analyses. · Support the Director of US outfitting with bids. · Ensure transparency and adherence to financial reporting standards.Cash Flow Management: · Invoice clients and arrange payment of suppliers · Manage cash flow to meet operational needs and strategic objectives. · Implement strategies to optimize cash management and financial stability.Team Leadership: · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve financial and business goals.Audit and Compliance: · Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting principles. · Address audit findings promptly and implement corrective actions. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesHands-on experience running the entire accountancy function.In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, payroll regulations, and expense management.Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
