Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned in addition to the responsibilities shown below as deemed necessary.
- Cultivate new agency relationships.
- Marketing calls / Retail Visits
- Meet / grow production threshold.
- Maintain ongoing partnerships with existing Retailer and Carrier Partners
- Build and strengthen carrier relationships.
- Attend carrier functions, dinners, meetings, etc.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of concepts, terms, and overall policy knowledge.
- RPLU Tests
- Policy comparisons
- Conference calls
- Involvement with claim if necessary
- Able to handle all tasks of an Account Executive including but not limited to:
- Managing accounts according to MRS's Procedure Guidelines
- Marketing accounts according to MRS's Procedure Guidelines
- Brokering accounts according to MRS's Procedure Guidelines
- Following general work guidelines
- Growing production level
- 3 to 5 years wholesale/retail P&C insurance experience or its equivalent in a marketing/placement role.
- College degree with a concentration in business or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Experience with specific P&C account handling and marketing.
- Experience with an agency management system is preferred.
- Current P&C broker insurance license required as determined by state.
- Substantial knowledge of commercial insurance and insurance processes.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- High level of motivation.
