Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Overview:

As a Caregiver/Personal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing direct support and assistance to a young teenager with disabilities. He is non-verbal, has cerebral palsy, is confined to a wheelchair and is totally dependent on care. If you are passionate about caregiving, this position is perfect for you.

Caregiver Job duties:

· Bathing

· Changing diapers

· Tube feeding

· Administering medicines

· Entertaining

· General companionship

· Changing soiled sheets and laundry

· Light laundry as needed

Other duties may include outings, medical appointments or errands as needed.

Caregiver Requirements and Qualifications:

· Experience as a caregiver a plus

· References

· Pass a background check

· Knowledgeable in basic emergency, first aid and certified in CPR to respond effectively in emergency situations

Monitor closely to ensure their well-being and safety

- Possess CPR certification

· Good physical condition, including light lifting

· Reliable transportation

· Flexible schedule

Hours

Monday to Friday – 3:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Saturday and Sunday – 10:00 am – 6 pm

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.

- Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in healthcare settings.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
