Harpak-ULMA Packaging, LLC is Hiring a Warehouse Associate - Ball Ground, GA Near Ball, GA

Summary: Working in a fast-paced shipping department and meeting the daily demands of internal and external customers on time while providing exceptional service. Pick, Pack, and ship daily orders accurately within time constraints. Locate received parts into bin locations. As time permits reorganize parts shelves, cycle counts and general preplanned projects. Within our fast-paced environment, keeping a calm focused approach and having strong communication and organizational skills with close attention to detail are a must.
Time Utilization: Normal business hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm. The work schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate peak business fluctuations.
Compensation: Commensurate with previous experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Picking/Packing customer orders.
  • Requires picking of customer parts orders, and packaging of product to prevent breakage during shipment.
  • Handwriting part labels legibly for outgoing customer orders.
c. UPS/FedEx software is to be used effectively and understood for shipping packages.
  • Daily housekeeping, 5S maintenance and organization of the shipping and inventory areas.
  • Requires cleaning of inventory area, inventory organization, inventory cycle counting and reporting.
  • Work area organized and made ready for next day.
  • Receiving incoming products and materials.
  • Unpacking of parts from suppliers.
b. Reconciliation of received parts to purchase documentation.
b) Notification and/or delivery of incoming products to internal end user.
c) Each receipt must have documentation (packing slip, etc.) to support computer system entries.
  • Documentation distribution.
  • Requires transfer of all original documents to front office.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience working in a warehouse environment. Fork Lift certification a plus.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and shipping paperwork. Excellent interpersonal skills required to effectively work with Company personnel and Shipping vendors.
Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide including fractions and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to assess and define problems, interpret instruction and act accordingly.
Computer Skills: Must have familiarity with MS Office Suite and Windows platform.
Certificates and Licenses: Current valid driver’s license.

Work is performed in a combination of shop/warehouse environments. Exposure to fluctuating hot and cold temperatures. Exposure to warehouse elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils.

The ability to lift and/or move up to 50-70 lbs. Regularly required to stand, sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat and move about a facility. Keen hearing and sight ability (close and distance vision). Proper use of safety devices as required for the job.
