Prominent Golf and Ski Resort is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As the Accountant, you will report directly to the Controller, and assist in various tasks including preparing journal entries, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger and participating in the monthly close process. This is not a remote position and requires the ability to work full time on property.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and review journal entries on a daily and monthly basis, ensuring accurate account balances and compliance with GAAP
• Perform month-end duties in accordance with the closing schedule.
• Prepare subaccount reconciliations to ensure subledger details balance with general ledger accounts for balance sheet accounts
• Oversee intercompany billing and shared cost allocations
• Execute all AR billing and collection functions
• Understand internal control procedures and regulations.
• Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• At least 2 years’ accounting experience in the hospitality industry
• Demonstrated experience with Springer Miller Systems HOST
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple projects.
• Sage (Intacct) experience is preferred.
