• Assist the Plant Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating plant activities to fulfill sales orders and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
• Monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Assist in the supervision of maintenance and repairs of plant equipment.
• Ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions (shipments, transfers, receipts, etc.).
• Work as part of the management team to meet inventory requirements.
• Supervise the soil blending line to ensure quality and safety.
• Maximize equipment utilization to maintain production and efficiency goals.
• Direct and monitor training of Production Workers.
• Plan and coordinate employee work schedules.
• Ensure and maintain the overall cleanliness of the blending line, warehouse, and surrounding areas.
• Supervision of all personnel to ensure that safety and health factors are recognized in all processes.
• Direct Soil Blending Operations and operate the Supermaxx blending line as needed.
• Dispatch delivery trucks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local ordinances affecting this position.
• Ensure compliance with all Company policies and programs.
• Maintain valid licenses, certifications and/or permits required to perform responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture or related field preferred.

• Experience operating forklift and skid steer loader.

• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of all production methods, techniques and related equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret Mix Sheets and Pick Lists.
• Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and plant operations.
• Must be extremely organized, self-motivated and can work independently.
• Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

• Communicating with internal and external customers – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend.
• Mobility of arms – Must be able to reach, and use arms to manipulate small objects.
• Mobility inside the plant – Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.

• Position will require some weekend work as necessary to complete essential functions.

• Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
• Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
• Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.

• Must wear steel-toed boots.
• Required: Safety glasses and ear gloves
• Recommended: Gloves, back brace, and safety attire as noted by guides provided in specific areas. These will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
• Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations.
