Role Overview

Next Step is seeking a friendly, outgoing, and analytical Client Service Specialist to join the Under-65 department. This role involves addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver with excellent time management skills, sound judgment, and a passion for delivering WOW experiences with every client interaction.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 5-star service with every client interaction.
  • Answer questions, resolve issues, and fix problems with humble confidence.
  • Listen attentively and communicate clearly to ensure mutual understanding.
  • Demonstrate care and commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, agents, and management to find optimal solutions.
  • Exercise judgment to escalate serious issues promptly.
  • Stay informed about products, services, and regulations.
  • Familiarize yourself with new products and services as they are introduced.
  • Attend workshops and external meetings as required.
  • Document all customer interactions and maintain accurate client files.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on client inquiries, responses, and feedback.
  • Respect client confidentiality at all times.
  • Obtain and maintain a Wisconsin Life and Health license (company paid).

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience.
  • Positive attitude and ability to build trust and relationships.
  • Experience with Under-65 health insurance is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to learn insurance terms, issues, systems, and companies.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate via email, live chat, video, phone, social media, and in-person.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and quick to learn other software.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent leadership and collaborative skills.
  • Sound judgment and creative problem-solving abilities.
