Position Overview:
**This is a position within the HCM IT -ERP support team for Harris County HR system. We are looking for candidates who have an IT support background**
This position is responsible for the functional support of the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) platform v9.2, specifically Base Benefits and Benefits Administration module. This includes requirements gathering, configuration, testing and end-user support for the HCM production application. This position provides functional expertise and contributes to improvements and enhancements for an enterprise-wide installation.
This position will also play a critical role in configuring the system with new benefits plans and designing the functional specifications to design new interfaces to Benefit Vendors.
Job Duties:
Coordinate with end-users to understand business needs and requirements .
Assists in the analysis and design of PeopleSoft deliverables based on business requirements .
Create and assist in the generation of functional specifications .
Educate and advise Harris County on the PeopleSoft HCM functionality with the emphasis on Human Resources /Base Benefits /Benefits Administration / Payroll.
Work with technical resources to develop, test and document enhancements and modifications.
Must have a good blend of Functional and Technical knowledge with the process flow of Benefits Administration, identify underlying records and pull data on ad-hoc basis if required.
Ensures that project deliverables meet business requirements.
Adheres to methodology, controls, and quality standards.
Ability to work independently with limited direction, and work in a team environment.

Education and Experience:
Master’s degree with
Two (2) years’ experience supporting PeopleSoft version 9.0 or above or similar HCM- ERP applications.
Two (2) years’ experience supporting PeopleSoft Base Benefits and Benefits Administration or Similar ERP Base Benefits and Benefits Administration
OR
Bachelor’s degree with
Three (3) years’ experience supporting PeopleSoft version 9.0 or above or similar HCM- ERP applications.
Three (3) years’ experience supporting PeopleSoft Base Benefits and Benefits Administration or Similar ERP Base Benefits and Benefits Administration
OR
Associate degree with
Four (4) years’ experience supporting PeopleSoft version 9.0 or above or similar HCM- ERP applications.
Four (4) years’ experience supporting PeopleSoft Base Benefits and Benefits Administration or Similar ERP Base Benefits and Benefits Administration.
OR
High School Diploma with
Five (5) years’ experience supporting PeopleSoft version 9.0 or above or similar HCM- ERP applications.
Five (5) years’ experience supporting PeopleSoft Base Benefits and Benefits Administration or Similar ERP Base Benefits and Benefits Administration.
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities (KSAs):
PeopleSoft v9.0 or above, preferably v9.2
Experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong verbal and written skills
Ability to create functional and design documents
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must be a self-starter and ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Monday – Friday | 40hrs
Regular Full-time | Onsite Position
Hybrid Schedule
May be required to work more than forty hours during the workweek and/or weekends or on-call 24 hours a day to meet special projects or deadlines
Subject to performing other duties as assigned
Must live or plan to live in the Houston Texas metropolitan area
