Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a stable insurance brokerage that is looking for a Marketing and Communication Manager in East Providence, RI. This client has been around for almost 150 years, is owned by a Trust, and has the reputation of being one of the Best Places to Work in its respective territories.

The Marketing & Communications Manager supervises and supports with the development the company's marketing and communications strategy and is responsible for the design and distribution of its brand for the company and its affiliate brands. This position will manage the department with a focus on social media, publications and websites, content creation, and employee/client events. This individual will have supervisory responsibilities for up to 5 associates. This role is a very hands-on, highly visible position, both working with associates, managers, the team, senior leaders and vendors to ensure our message/branding is on point with that of our organization. This individual could find themselves drafting press releases, and coordinating vendors for corporate events, while also recording a video for a social media post. You can't be afraid to roll up your sleeves. This position is primarily in-office.

Social Medial & Email Marketing Management :

  • Work with outside marketing group to create and implement a 12-month schedule timeline, in line with the company’s brand message for postings including but not limited to community outreach, company events, or practice group content.
  • Create drip funnel campaigns for respective practice groups. This will include research and content development with practice leader’s input.
  • Email marketing will consist of drafting content, scheduling, customer surveys, event invites, interpreting analytics, and adjusting accordingly.
  • Create, review and edit content for the company which will be published in the company's websites and social media pages.

Oversight of SharePoint/Internal Brand Intranet Management:

  • Oversee and approve SharePoint campaigns, videos and postings.
  • As a team, create and implement a 12-month schedule timeline. Work with other departments to create content, build event/activity campaigns, and schedule communications.
  • Oversee the management of corporate intranet calendar of events, pre-event invitations, post-event surveys, and management of event list.

Employee & Client Events:

  • In conjunction with the SVP, Director of Marketing, create the corporate events calendar.
  • Manage and implement corporate events (internal and external).
  • Conduct and report on post-event debriefs, and implement adjustments accordingly.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in content writing and creation across all disciples as well as for corporate communications.
  • Update and manage corporate web properties.
  • Press release writing, scheduling, and promotion to outside outlets and media.
  • Oversees all online management and upkeep, including Google profiles and Carrier information.
  • Assist with/attend offsite /after-hours events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Fluency in MS office products, MAC and PC experience required.
  • Experience working at a senior level with C Suite executives.
  • Experience coordinating corporate events, from arrangement and selection of the venue, choosing the menu, scheduling vendors, coordinating transportation and the seating, and arrangement the schedule of events. Ability to be on site for the event and to serve as the main contact for issues during the event.
  • Critical thinking skills, and ability to assess a situation and take initiative is a strength.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills. Strong editing skills needed. Presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in an ever-changing environment is critical. Flexibility and adaptability is a necessity.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours. Early mornings or later evenings are possible.
  • Need to have reliable transportation to travel throughout RI / CT / MA primarily.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, to work well with others, and to manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in the following social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Vimeo, Mailchimp & Hubspot scheduling, basic HTML.
  • Proficient in the following: content writing, basic photography, Adobe video editor or other video editing software, Adobe Photoshop.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field, or equivalent in experience.
  • Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects, managing social media content; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred.
