For School Year 2024-2025184- Work Day CalendarHourly Pay Rate: $28.86 (Salary placement is based on experience.)Click on the following link to view the full pay range on the ESP Salary Schedule: https://www.hsd2.org/our-district/financial-transparencyJob Summary:The Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will provide behavioral and communication skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to students with Autism, Social Emotional Disorders, and related developmental disabilities in community and school settings. The Lead RBT will be responsible for drawing upon their experience in the field to serve as a resource and model for new RBT staff on educational best practices and behavioral analytic skills as well as student protocols. The Lead RBT will serve as a leader within the RBT team by assisting the BCBA Managers and BCBA Coordinators in facilitating communication between all team members, leading RBT skill-building team meetings, managing and disseminating student data, and ensuring that all team members have the necessary support, training, and materials to assist students in reaching their full potential.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide unplanned emergency student support and teacher consultation.Provide direct student care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements, following the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.Collect, record, and summarize data on observable student behavior.Assist BCBAs and school staff in preparing student materials.Assist school staff in supporting students in times of crisis.Effectively communicate with school staff regarding student progress as instructed by the BoardCertified Behavior Analyst/Behavior Specialist. Collaborate with the school team, including parents and caregivers, outside professionals, Behavior Specialist, special education administration, and co-workers.Conduct staff, parent, and caregiver training in line with student’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.Coordinate and facilitate RBT competency exam study groups and test practice sessions.Assist Behavior Specialist and School Psychologists in conducting skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments under the supervision of the Behavior Analyst and ABA Interns.Update & maintain data collection systems & disseminate information to team.Complete special projects such as sensory room design and training, organization and facilitation of student community outings, and participation in the Special Education Advisory Committee.Acquire and maintain required certifications and technical knowledge needed for this position. Attend professional development and trainings as directed by the supervising administrator.Design and deliver district-wide paraprofessional Professional Development trainings. Provide coaching/modeling for RBTs at BCBA request on program-specific skills with students.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/administrator.Education, Training and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Associate’s (or higher) Degree OR 2 years of study at an institution of higher education (48 semester hours) OR passed the Work Keys Exam the District-approved assessment to meet the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) required at hire. Required Test are; Applied Mathematics, Workplace Documents and Business Writing.Upload/Scan transcripts if you have minimum of 48 semester hours otherwise upload Work Keys Test Scores Sheets.Must have at least 3 years of certification with the BACB as an RBT in good standing.Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed including, but not limited to: RBT trainings, Ukeru, CPI, and other district or outside professional development and trainings as directed by employment supervisor.Must have at least 5 years of experience in a school Special Education setting, including at least 3 years as an RBT.Must have experience with multiple types of disabilities (Autism, SED, SLD, SLI).Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly.Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with students, co-workers, supervisors, and community members.Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).Commitment to maintain student confidentiality and adhere to FERPA laws.Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to ABA skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standard.Ability to interpret and implement behavioral protocols and written plans.Ability to coach, model, and supervise appropriate use of behavioral analytic strategies.Able to proficiently execute behavioral interventions utilizing principles of ABA, including positive reinforcement, teaching in small steps, prompting, and repeated practice to facilitate the development of language, social interactions, independent living skills, and other aptitudes.Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.Note: Each college transcript shall be authentic, original or photocopy, bearing the embossed seal of the institution, the signature of the registrar, and including descriptive titles, course numbers, credits, and grades for each course listed and degrees earned, if any.
