The Crew Lead is responsible for training, supervision, accuracy and quaility of the work being performed by the line staff. The Crew Leader works to ensure that proper production procedures are followed while maintaining company sanitation and efficiency standards. Overall, Leaders are responsible for directing the activities of the line crew and fostering a team-oriented environment. The Crew Lead will maintain inventories and minimizing waste, while monitoring production quality standards. Train new employees on processes and procedures. Additional responsibilities include assigning personnel to teams and tasks, documentation of employee activities, accurate production reporting procedures, accurate and timely record time keeping.

• Coaches, counsels and writes PIA's. Some direct contact with Human Resources/ Employee Relations.
• Assigns personnel to work on teams and /or tasks.
• Achieves standards of efficiency, quality, and record accuracy to include production paperwork, product usage and reject paperwork.
• Assures production is performed accurately, timely and efficiently.
• Verifies timesheets/ timecards.
• Use Basic Principles and confidentiality when dealing with coworkers.
• Reports unsafe or unusual condition of equipment, materials and product to Supervisor.
• Promotes continuous process improvement and waste reduction.
• Compliance with company attendance standards.

Day Shift: 5:00 am-3:20 pm

Swing Shift: 3:15 pm-1:35 am

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• 1-2 years previous work-related experience preferred.
• Good intermediate math skills are required.
• Microsoft Office Skills preferred.
• Production experience, PC skills and Systems Application in Data Processing (SAP) highly desired.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) required.
• Highly dependable and able to work a flexible schedule with varying job duties
• Providing honest and respectful communication to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 20, 30, or 50 pounds based off of assigned department demands.
• Work performed will be in a production environment with possible exposure to food allergens, dust, varying temperatures, loud noise level and occasional fumes and chemicals.
• Must be flexible with regard to job assignments as days, hours and support tasks may vary depending on production needs. Weekends and overtime may be required.
• Follow Bakery Candy Kitchen Food Safety, Dress Code and Sanitation requirements.
• This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing.
• Compliance with company attendance standards.
