The Supervisor for Field Services supervises a small team of 3 - 8 year-round and seasonal employees focused on field data collection specific to our crop protection program. The data includes insect identification, fruit maturity, disease pressure, crop load and tree nutrition. In addition to working in the field during the growing season, this position also supports harvest activities. This is an outdoor position that requires the ability to climb hills and walk long distances over rough ground in all weather conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate a small team focusing on multiple data collection streams simultaneously.
• Organize resources such as transportation, lab equipment, and computer access for members of the Field Services team.
• Maintain and deliver training for employees on technical procedures, insect identification and field protocols, and ensure data integrity.
• Support Manager of Production Services Pest control work order system with timely, accurate information.
• Support timekeeping process through orchard timekeeping system.
• Manage employee problems, allocate personnel, instruct employees, assign work, review work, plan work of others, maintain work standards, and coordinate activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in field scouting or data collection or working knowledge of agriculture industry is preferred.
• Calculate volumes, percentages, and basic math equations.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish writing and reading skills preferred.
• Work in variable weather conditions and work around loud motorized equipment in Orchards with proper hearing protection.
• Compliance with company attendance standards.
• Work hours may vary during peak production cycles and must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, during inclement weather in an outdoor orchard environment.
• Lift, push, pull, up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a company Driver Record Review.
• This safety sensitive position requires pre-employment drug test.
