PATIENT CARE & PRACTICE COORDINATOR

Position Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator is a critical member of this growing private practice, and will work closely with the provider and practice owner, assisting with various aspects of day-to-day operations. The Coordinator is responsible for the daily activities of clinic. First and foremost, they are the first point of contact, either in-person or by phone, with many patients, physicians, and vendors. The primary responsibility of the coordinator is to be a positive representative of the practice, providing quality customer service and patient care. The Coordinator also supports the practice by performing a variety of administrative and outreach functions, detailed below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Patient Care

· Excellent customer service is the cornerstone of every successful practice.

· Ensure a positive experience for every patient as they enter and exit the office with a friendly greeting

· Checking patients in and out

· Answering questions

· Scheduling/confirming appointments.

· Manage payments and insurance information.

· Provide the first contact for patients who call to schedule an appointment or inquire about our services. Screen calls (20-40 calls/day), recognizing opportunities and facilitating excellent service by providing the information necessary to secure an appointment, sell a product, or answer a question.

· Clean hearing aids (occasional).

· Practice Coordinator

· Coordinate provider’s schedule, and ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patient care while in the office

· Maintain and file patient charts

· Maintain a tidy office/waiting room

· Collect and record payments, and manage invoices

· Check insurance eligibility and pre-authorization

· Manage office supply inventory, including hearing aid product inventory

· Various other administrative projects as may be assigned

· Marketing / Outreach

· Collaborate with and assist provider with the planning, promotion and management of operations/services to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness

· Help build practice through patient contact, retention, outreach, and marketing efforts.

· Liaison contact for internal and external communication and local public relations. This includes participating in, and at times representing the practice independently at:

· Networking events

· Senior Activity Center ongoing activities like euchre tournaments, and bocce ball

· Health fairs

Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent degree

· Preferred experience in medical field

· Previous work in administrative or office management position

· Sales, service, or customer-oriented field

On-the-job training is available in:

· Counsel Ear – online software for scheduling and practice management

. Hearing Instrument Sciences- How hearing aids work, how to program, clean, and maintain devices

· Previous experience with online scheduling software is advantageous, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $32,000-42,000 /year or $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
