Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is Hiring a Project Specialist - Quality and Safety Near Wethersfield, CT

Standard Hours: 40
Job Shift: Shift 1
Shift Details: Mon-Fri

This Project Specialist will be dedicated to working with the Adult Primary Care clinics at Hartford Hospital and Hospital of Central CT in collaboration with the population health centralized team in Wethersfield CT. The Project Specialist performs a full range of varied, multi-skilled administrative support that requires creativity, and independent, discretionary judgment. The Project Specialist will routinely work with data sets and perform analyses that will drive business decisions, and support leadership by performing project management duties, planning, execution, and completion of quality improvement projects.

Travel is required and job location will be split with the majority of time in Hartford.

  • Maintains a high-level understanding of performance measures, identifying work processes that can be improved upon and making appropriate recommendations for change
  • Partners with various stakeholders to facilitate and ensure the success of population health quality initiatives
  • Develops and reviews reports to make recommendations to teams. Identifies trends in reports and communicates findings to the team for actionable steps.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, management, operations, administration, or similar field or equivalent work experience required.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience:
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills with a variety of professions verbally and in writing.
  • Prior clinical work experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Visio, Smartsheets, Powerpoint etc)
  • Experience and knowledge of working in Epic and with large data sets in Excel is preferred.
  • Experience managing projects and priorities.
  • Ability to be flexible with changes in schedule and locations
