Position Overview:

We are seeking an in-house skilled Collections Attorney licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona with 3-5 years of experience in collections and litigation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of B2B collection matters, including court proceedings.

Responsibilities:

1. Collections Management: Oversee and manage the collections process, including negotiating payment arrangements, issuing demand letters, and pursuing legal action when necessary.

2. Litigation: Handle all aspects of litigation related to collections, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court hearings and trials.

3. Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research and analysis to assess the merits of collection cases, identify legal issues, and develop effective strategies for resolution.

4. Client Communication: Communicate with clients regarding case status, developments, and strategy, providing timely and accurate updates as needed.

5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing collections and debt recovery practices.

6. Negotiation: Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements with debtors and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.

7. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed case files, documentation, and records related to collections activities and litigation.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2. Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona.

3. 3-5 years of experience practicing law with a focus on collections and litigation.

4. Strong knowledge of Arizona collections laws, procedures, and court rules.

5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

6. Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.

7. Proficiency in legal research, writing, and analysis.

8. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

9. Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

10. Experience with electronic case management systems and legal software is preferred.
