Hartmann Young have partnered with an international company in microbiological research for healthcare, who are looking to expand their technical team in Australia with the addition of a Senior Clinical Research Scientist.

You'd work on-site in Sydney, reporting into the Senior Manager of Clinical Affairs, and liaising externally with academic/clinical researchers, hospital staff and laboratory staff.

The role

Day to day, you'll oversee the design, execution and analysis of clinical studies relating to company products, contributing to clinical aspects of product development such as protocol development concerning regulatory requirements.

• You'll carry out literature reviews for risk assessment/hazard analysis, supporting business objectives and other research interests;
• Liaise with external stakeholders (CRO, statistical consultants and principal investigators);
• Contribute to the selection of potential investigators and sites, nationally and internationally;
• Contribute to study design and publication strategies, whilst overseeing the development of clinical testing protocols, study procedures and statistical analysis plans.

The person

• Ideally, you'll have 5-10 years' experience in clinical research, with a demonstrated ability to lead clinical research projects;
• Post-graduate level in a life sciences discipline;
• Experience within epidemiology or microbiology;
• A working knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures, as well as statistical analysis techniques.
• You'll be a highly organised, detail-oriented and diligent individual, with a passion for improving patient outcomes.
