Hartmann Young have partnered with an international company in microbiological research for healthcare, who are looking to expand their technical team in Australia with the addition of a Senior Preclinical Development Scientist.

You'd work on-site in Sydney, reporting into the Senior Manager of Clinical Affairs and liaising externally with laboratory staff and service providers.

The role

Day to day, you'll be responsible for protocol development, data analysis, hazard analysis/risk assessment and conducting literature reviews. You'll ensure the company and products fall in line with regulatory or market requirements, operating with efficacy and safety.

• You'll work cross-functionally, leveraging your research knowledge to design studies that are scientifically sound and in line with business strategy.
• You'll contribute to clinical testing protocols, study design and procedure, but also to external testing, coordinating the supply of study equipment and materials.

The person

• Ideally, you'll have a PhD in a Life Sciences discipline;
• Experience in microbiology in an industry or research setting;
• 4-5 years' experience in the design and analysis of preclinical studies;
• Experience working with a QMS system within a commercial research setting is highly beneficial.
• You'll be a highly organised, detail-oriented and diligent individual, with a passion for improving patient outcomes.
