Summary: The main function of a Communications Specialist is to assist corporate communications with message development, writing, and editing.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring timely, creative, and accurate dissemination of news, multimedia content, and information.

Create various platform content, ensuring quality, accuracy, and effective storytelling that aligns with corporate messaging.

Top Hard Skills Required:

5-8 Years of Experience with strong writing, event experience, and End-to-end project management.

Needs to have 2 years minimum of past/prior Microsoft Experience and using MSFT Systems and Tools (SharePoint, Viva Engage, v-teams).

Strong Organizational and attention to detail, experience with Communication roles in the past and prior roles.

Purpose of the Team:

This position is meant to extend the Chief of Staff and provide ROB, program, and communications support. It needs to be located in Puget Sound and can come into the Redmond office during critical periods.

Disqualifiers: Candidates who are too technically qualified for the role; Someone who does not reside in Puget Sound and cannot come into the office.

Best vs. Average: The hiring team will only review candidates with 12 months left on their Tenure Status/Assignment Clock. Someone willing and able to come into the office.

Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training preferred.
