Our commissary kitchen is located in the heart of downtown Columbia. We craft our dairy and dairy-free ice creams here for our ice cream parlors and wholesale partners and send them out for delivery.

It also serves as our company's headquarters.

Job Summary : This position is responsible for safely loading, delivering and stocking products from our Columbia headquarters to our other Middle Tennessee locations and retail partners on weekends and / or 1-2 weekday afternoons.

Hours : Saturdays & sometimes Sundays 7am - 1pm (depending on route). Occasional weekday afternoons available.

Responsibilities :

• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the Essential Intent of Hattie Jane’s Creamery : To create a truly Southern experience through ice cream.
• Loading, unloading, and stocking ice cream and related products in our warehouse
• Transporting necessary products from our warehouse to our nearby production space
• Loading, uploading, stocking, and transporting products to our offsite locations and retail partners
• Maintain our company vehicles including washing exterior and interior, monitoring for oil changes and necessary maintenance, alerting the Operations Manager if any indication of maintenance issues, and related items
• Driving in a safe and legal manner and in a way that reflects positively on the Hattie Jane’s brand
• Being a positive and professional representation of the company at all times when on duty and / or in uniform
• Maintaining necessary and required records
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Tools & Technology :

• Dollies, carts, and related equipment
• Delivery vehicle

Qualifications :

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be able to safely lift up to 50lbs at a time
• Have a clean driving record
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers and guests
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Must be self-disciplined, take initiative, able to work through a task list
• Must have a pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance
• Must be able to be obsessively clean in the work environment
• Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to production problems
• Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff
