The Designer/Project Manager (D/PM) manages AV integration-based projects
from site survey and cost estimation through project commissioning. The D/PM
also works with the Sales/Account Manager (S/AM) on client needs
assessment.
The position is salaried and does not require particular work hours or
locations. The role does include occasional travel to client sites, vendor training,
etc. The D/PM is permitted to work from the office or home as required by
ongoing projects and in-house meetings. Company vehicles are available
for all work-related travel.
Needs Assessment – The D/PM assists S/AM when requested on project sales calls,
whether via audio, video or in person. The D/PM is an integral part of finding the
right solutions to meet client needs.
Cost Estimation – The D/PM is responsible for developing cost estimation and job
scope for S/AM’s proposal. This may even include preliminary rough drawings.
However, the S/AM is responsible for final pricing and preparation and
presentation of proposals as well as all non-project related account management.
System Design and Documentation – The D/PM is responsible for all aspects of
system design, including document development, such as scopes of work, room
plans, room elevations, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, control scopes, Bills of
Material (BOM), etc., even if delegated to other team members.
Labor Scheduling – D/PM is responsible for all labor scheduling, both internal and
external as well as all schedule coordination with client, building owners,
architects, and other trades.
Project Coordination – The D/PM is responsible for project coordination with the
client, building owners, architects, and other trades. This includes attending
project meetings via audio, video, or in person, as required by the project’s other
stakeholders. The D/PM may delegate certain aspects to other staff, including
project meeting attendance as deemed suitable to protect our interests and the
project's success.
Ideal candidates for this opportunity will be highly motivated and team-oriented.
They will be willing to constantly learn and take on new challenges as technologies
and markets evolve at a rapid pace. They will either already live in the greater Phila
tri-state region or be willing to relocate here.
