ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Assistant Director of Admission to support our Admission Director with all aspects of the admission and recruitment process for K-12 day students in the State of Hawaii. This role involves managing statewide community relations and marketing and developing relationships with current and past parents and alumni. Key responsibilities include setting and achieving enrollment goals, enhancing campus visits and applicant interviews/assessments, managing the admissions office's marketing and communication plans, and supporting re-enrollment efforts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a bachelor's degree, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Qualifications, Experience, and Requirements:

  • Preferred bachelor's degree with any combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to effectively perform the job is expected.
  • Consistent presence in office during work hours, except during approved vacation or time off
  • Be able to work in an office setting (sitting or standing) for long periods of time.
  • Be able to work occasionally beyond normal work hours to complete tasks (including nights and weekends when necessary)
  • Be able to lift 30 lbs. of weight in course of normal office duties.
  • Previous supervisory experience managing professional and student staff is preferred.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills required to work cooperatively with a diverse population of employees, administrators, applicants, students, families, etc.
  • Effective oral, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform several tasks at once with a high level of accuracy.
  • Must be able to organize multiple projects at once.
  • Must be able to manage frequent interruptions and re-prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Possesses computer knowledge and experience with databases.
  • Must be able to understand, solve, and perform multiple tasks related to multiple databases.
  • Should possess high energy, attention to detail, and the ability to organize effectively.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
