The veterinary receptionist role is vital to our success as these valued team members provide the critical first impression of our hospital; they are the bridge between our clients and the clinical team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and strives to exceed client expectations at every opportunity: when managing incoming calls and electronic communications, greeting clients and patients at reception, and throughout the client visit and invoicing process. When selecting a veterinary receptionist to join our team, we prefer a minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service or receptionist role and a years’ experience working within the veterinary environment. Job responsibilities include:

• Greeting clients and pets with a welcoming and caring attitude
• Check-in clients for appointments and discharges
• Assisting clients throughout their visit and the invoicing process
• Answering phones, monitoring emails and text messages, scheduling appointments, and educating clients about our services
• Organizing and retrieving patient records
• Working with our veterinary team to keep all aspects of Hawk Ridge Animal Hospital organized and clean
• Most importantly, ensuring that clients are well taken care and have a pleasant experience during their time in our facility

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possess strong computer and client communication skills
• Exhibit excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Have a passion for working with animals and ability to handle a face-paced, hospital environment
• Familiarity with veterinary medical billing software is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
