Hawthorn School District 73 is Hiring a Middle School Spanish Teacher - (Grades 6 - 8) Near Vernon, IL
- Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date knowledge of content and Illinois State Standards
- Prepare lesson plans and conduct daily classroom instruction to appropriate instructional level
- Maintain a healthy learning environment for the students in the classroom
- Organize the classroom and learning resources to create a positive learning environment
- Observe and evaluate students to determine student progress or to make suggestions for improvement
- Provide feedback to parents on a student’s progress at conferences and other meeting
- Letters of application
- Recommendations and/or references
- Ability to work as a team member and previous experience with elementary age children is preferred
- Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Illinois Teaching Certificate (Type 03 or 09 with middle school Spanish endorsement)
- Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first. If no previous teaching experience in the specific class, recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will be considered.
- Fluency and the ability to read and write in Spanish are required
