We are currently seeking talented individuals for our Service Maintenance Technician position!
Here is some of what you’ll do…
POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Service Maintenance Technician (SMT) exists to maintain production by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and greasing parts with a wash rack steam cleaner and high pressure washer.
- Prolongs endurance of equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedules.
- Documents actions by completing maintenance logs.
- Completes deliveries and pickups by identifying destination, selecting the route, and driving the vehicle.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Determines condition of equipment by inspecting equipment before and after use, reporting damages and discrepancies.
- Maintains stock inventory to determine amount available, anticipating needed stock, placing and expediting orders for stock, and verifying receipt of stock.
- Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Drivers License with a good driving record.
- Must have PC skills.
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Must be forklift certified or able to be certified within 60 days.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and complete assignments.
- Walking Moves about on foot, often through uneven terrain.
- Hands/arms Operates equipment and hand and power tools.
- Handling Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
- Lifting Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts and tools.
- Reaching Extends hands and arms in any direction.
- Stooping Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
- Standing Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
- Climbing In and out of equipment.
- Raising/Lowering Goes up and down in man lifts.
- Vision Reads work tickets and parts and service books and operates heavy equipment.
- Talking Communicates by radio, phone, and in person.
- Hearing Hears well enough to discern mechanical problems for safety in and around shop and construction sites and to receive communication by radio, phone, and in person.
- Sitting Sits in equipment and vehicles for extended periods.
- Laying Lies in prone position under vehicles and equipment for extended periods.
- Lifting Lifts up to 60lbs. daily, frequent exertion.
- Travel Frequent travel to neighbor islands to support workload.
- Noise Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
- Temp/Weather Works outside and in a shop with variations of temperature and weather.
- Exposure Subject to foul odors, fumes, and harsh substances.
